There have been times when I wished I could convert round nosed .22 LRs into hollowpoints. For instance, CCI standards plus some target ammo, which doesn't come in HPs.
I ordered the hollowpointer tool from EABCO. It cost me $14.95, which wasn't bad if it worked. Surprisingly it seems, S&H brought it up to nearly double the price...and the tool is only slightly larger than 2@ .22 rounds. ...So I figured, if it works well, it's still OK !
But in my case, it failed miserably..there are two parts..1) shell holder..(hold in left hand , with tip of thumb holding .22 round in place) ..and the drill portion(press in & turn with right hand)..these instructions for right handers..reverse for left.
The parts are so small, they are difficult to hold and manipulate with my oversized hands. Seems I drilled no more than 30 rounds and my fingers were quite sore..plus the DRILL HAD BECOME DULL. Incidentally, the drill was not replaceable..drill and holder are one piece.
