Hey everyone, long time to see.
I've had a rough few months. My daughter was diagnosed with Diffuse Sclerosing Thyroid cancer (somewhere in the 1 in a billion range, given her age, btw) in July and has been through 6 different surgeries, 2 Iodine-131 treatments, and countless MRI's, CAT scans, PET scans, gamma scans, bone scans, radio iodine scans, etc....
After all of this and a scare that things were looking pretty bad, we just got the proverbial green light! The last biopsy showed that the cancer was reacting to the I-131. There is no detectable amount of cancer and we are going from OH S&*T mode to monitoring and maintenance.
Just wanted to stop in and give everyone an update, say Hi, and thank you all for you prayers.
