I'm new to the forums so bare with me if I go against procedure. I have already done a search on the subject and still need help. I have a s/s encore rifle in .270, 209x50 and a blued pistol in 7-08. The problem is with the pistol. I am having misfire(light primer strike) problems about 50% of the time. It takes 2-3 tries to set off the round, then on the next round it may fire on the first try. I have already installed a Belm oversize hing pin with no difference in results. I have also disasembled the gun several times to clean and inspect the firing pin area and everything looks to be in near new condition. I might need to add that I am using CCI primers which I have heard can be too hard? I have not tried another brand of primer yet but will do so the next chance I get to go to the range. I was just wondering if any of you have had the same problem? Also, I may need to add that this frame is a 4-digit (early I presume). Any help and/or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all..............Randy
