Ok, in the back of the safe i always had a few military guns. Had a mauser, and an enfield that i thought i should look at. I got the enfield from a relative who bought it in the late 50's. He didn't really want it so he gave it to me along time ago. So what do i do i clean it up some and re-oil the stock. I didn't do it too much but back then i was into shiney guns. Now i pull it out and look at it because someone shows me one that he had. Turns out it is a 1933 no.4 mk1 with the peep and the scope mounts on the rail. It has a scope # on the top of the grip but there is no T after the Serial #. All the #seem to match up ok. I had taken the cheek piece off so i am looking for that in the cellar now. Is the holy grail to find a scope and mount for this? I know it is no fake so i would like to put it back right if possible. I do have to check the bore as i read on here that there are many #of lands and groves. The mauser turned out to be a zf41 sniper too so i guess i really never knew what i had. I guess my question is where is the best spot to find scopes? Is there a military flea market or gunsale tour that would be a good place to look. I am sure what ever i find will be big bucks. thanks
