20 classic

looking for any information on 20 classic drawings dies loading data I know it's based on 30 30 case I see MGM chambers for it but can't seem to find any
one who sells dies

     The 25Classic is a 30Herrett reduced to 25 caliber, I would assume the 6mmClassic, 22Classic and 20Classic are the same thing.  I'm not totally sure, but I think the shoulder angle remains the same at least on the 25.  Redding or RCBS will make you dies or you may be able to get them through MGM.  Load data will be schetchy at best.

BTW, seven (7) Classics were developed for the Contender on the 30-30 case ranging from 17 to 7mm.

Given the amount of work involved in case forming and chasing load data I would venture down a different path for my money. Maybe a Tac 20 or a .204 Ruger but not a 20 Classic. I understand the grasp of a wildcat cartridge but these days I like to shoot more than case form. 30-30 brass is easy to work with and once you have a system it can be done but even my 6mm 30-30 AI can get tedious at times. Besides the places I use a .20 cal rifle require volumes of ammo.

The Tac 20 or 204 Ruger both miss the point of the 20 Classic (and the other 6 Classic's on the 30-30 case)... a short, fat powder column in a rimmed case designed for the Contender and single-shot rifles to approximate PPC and BR case dimensions, ballistics and accuracy.

Given the uses I have for a .20 cal rifle on a Contender platform I'd still opt for more mainstream.
