I can't seem to be able to look up ammo ballistic without signing up and joining their site.   Is there another way to view them?   I don't really want to join their site just to look up their products.

agreed
What did you do today...for Freedom?
Today, at the front, he died...Today, what did you do? Next time you see a list of dead and wounded, ask yourself: "What have I done for freedom? What can I do tomorrow that will save the lives of men like this and help them win the war?"
Taken from WWII poster, still applies today.

One thing I did notice is that when I looked up centerfire rifles by caliber, there was an "*" next to half their rifles.   The "*" indicates the model is discontinued.

No you don't have to register. I didn't when I visited it the other day. I will say however it has to be the worst site I've ever seen a business put up to date. It will clearly run off traffic and that likely will reduce sales. Not that I'm likely to be buying any rifles soon as funds just aren't there but mostly I found or investigated my purchases of their guns online first before buying. I sure won't be doing that with the current site set up.

I predict soon remington won't even be making any guns, just importing from Russia

I thought the 798, 799,  a single shot and a bunch of shotguns and stuff came from Russia

Ya kinda thought wrong then. Besides none of those are currently being imported by Remington that's all history. They did for a very short while import some of the Baikal line.

Do you have a link?   Every time I try to compare or look up ballistics it puts up a registration page.   I can look at firearms with no trouble at all.   Ammo, it wants me to register.

I removed the cookie for the website and sure enough it asked me to login/register to see ammo info. I don't know if I'd bother registering if I wasn't already(registered years ago just to get quick access to their monthly firearm giveaways and such). Maybe I got tired of the original site cuz I kinda like the new layout. Maybe after I spend more time there I might get annoyed by it  ??? Time will tell........

I was just in there trying to compare LOP on two guns and it wanted me to register and jump through the marketing hoop with my info. I've completed the forms before on other sites, but not to simply look at products they would like to SELL ME.
No thanks

I was already signed up for their "Country Store".   I signed up for that a while back (years ago, I beleave).   I entered that info into their web site and it took it.   I still don't like the idea of having to "sign up" just to get product info.   As I said before, their new web site sucks.  >:(

Now if they would only start producing a rifle that would appeal to me...(this might get out of control) ;D

- Wider variety of calibers in each line
- Heavier varmint contour barrels
- Faster twist rates on calibers that are used more for shooting long range (223, 243, 260, 7mm's etc..)
- Start working with different stock makers for certain stocks, and raise the d@mn comb
- Aluminum bedding blocks for wood stocks, and even the plactic tupperware ones
- At least a wider trigger shoe if you can't go back to the old trigger
- Stop paying off Swampman to come on here and harass non-Remington owners

That being said I sure don't see myself buying anything else for a while.

Well Diggler, super, awesome, great minds, must think alike ;) because some of the above are exactly the things that I'd like to see from Remington. Jeez, why can't I get a damn 6.5 X 55 SE with a varmint barrel from at least one company out there, short of having to go to Finland and buy one. I know, I know, I could have one custom built...

And Why??? oh Why??? :D can't I buy a Remington in .223 that has a 1 in 7 twist (even a 1 in 9), and that also comes with a stock that I like? I know, I could have one custom built...

As far as Swamper goes, it ain't going to happen. He has a life-time contract, and he ain't about to let Remington out of it.  ;D

Yep -- The new Remington website is really bad.   Maybe it is those high school student interns working their Christmas vacation that designed it. I hope they change it soon, and start offering some of the nice guns they had 5 or 10 years ago.  I bought a couple of their Sendero and LSS models a few years ago, but some of the new models look like junk --- especially the cheap looking checkering new wood stocks.  I loved Remington a few years ago -- but they discontinued the nicer guns, and raised the price on the ugly ones.   And the website is horrid.  RP

So how many of you have picked up the phone and complained? If they get enough negative comments about it they might fix it.

I didn't get on the phone but I did e-mail their customer support. I got a response about a week later telling me to change my browser settings (for some reason the page didn't completely show up). You can't find specs on the rifles like you used to on the old site. Then you get the multiple view windows. Sure wish they would come up with something better. I loved their old site.   Jerry J

Overview:
Perfect for deer hunters wanting rifle-like performance in an affordable, yet dependable, shotgun package, the Model 870 Express Slug Gun utilizes fully rifled, heavy contour barrels to deliver devastating knockdown power with optimal accuracy.
Available in both a 12-gauge and 20-gauge version, the added weight of the heavier slug barrel helps reduce the recoil of magnum slug loads while our cantilever system provides a solid scope mount platform that won't lose its zero like other mounts. These pump-action shotguns feature a non-glare matte finish on all exterior metalwork and all-weather black synthetic stocks and fore-ends.
Key Features:
Receiver milled from a solid billet of steel for strength and durability
Twin action bars ensure smooth, reliable non-binding action
Legendary pointability and accuracy.

I didn't have to sign up for any of this.

Overview:
Maybe you flinched? Or the animal turned at the last split-second? Either way, our Model 7600™ centerfire rifle will get you back on target – instantly. Because not only are they built to deliver legendary Remington® first-shot accuracy, they’re also designed for ultra-fast follow-up shots – without ever having to unshoulder your rifle.
Our ever-popular Model 7600 is one of the most proven deerslayers in the woods. It has a 22" barrel, a four-round magazine and is available in wood and durable synthetic models. All of our centerfire pumps feature quick-release magazines and Remington’s rotary bolt lock-up design for exceptional strength, safety and reliability.
You can't find a big-game rifle with a better combination of practical shooting features: twin action bars provide slick, smooth operation for rapid repeat shots; a quick-release, drop-out four-round magazine that loads and unloads instantly; and a free-floated barrel that matches the accuracy of the best bolt guns.
An ideal cross-over rifle for pump-gun wingshooters. A Monte Carlo walnut stock with a satin finish is standard. An optional high-gloss finished stock available in 270 Win. and 30-06 calibers.
We've taken the world's most popular pump-action deer gun and given it the extra toughness and weather resistance of a fiberglass-reinforced synthetic stock and fore-end.
Metal work and stock have a black matte non-reflective finish, and the butt stock is furnished with a black rubber recoil pad. Like its walnut-stocked brother, the 7600™ Synthetic has twin action bars for smooth cycling; a quick-release, drop-out four-round magazine; and a free-floated barrel that matches the accuracy of the best bolt guns.
Key Features:
Robust slide-action design allows for fast follow-up shots in the harshest conditions.
Action, slide release and safety based on the design of the Model 870™, America's most popular pump shotgun, for instantaneous end user familiarity.
Weight distribution and slim line design result in shotgun like balance and pointability.
22" barrel with iron sights and receiver drilled and tapped for scope mounts allow for multiple sighting options.
Rotary-bolt lock-up provides rock-solid action strength.
