California Contenders?

Whats the Law for owning and having contender pistols.  say with a 10" barrel in California?   I know they have some funny laws just wondering.

No problem with 10 inch Contenders, before I left there in 2004 you couldn't have Encores. I had 6 Contenders at the time and about 20 barrels of which half were 10 inchers. Now those and a whole lot more reside in Florida along with a whole bunch of Encores. Sorry forgot to mention you could not have 45-410 barrels at the time either, you know those evil sawed off shotguns.

I have contenders with 10", 14", 15", and 16" barrels.  The only thing that is supposed to be not legal is the 45/410 shorter than 18" which the state attorney general labeled as a "sawed off shotgun".  I had one before the ruling came out and had cops fire it at the range.  No one questioned it at the time but I don't think that I would flaunt it too much.  I have not looked up the laws but as far as I know you can still buy Contender barrels at any length, except for the 45/410, in good old Kali.
