I think the whitetails in Indiana better find a new place to hide.

Lookin good!  24gr of H-110 under the 240 XTP has always been a deer getter fer me.  Only one that didn't drop was when my stock broke on a lever and the shot went low-left, broke the back leg and creased the belly opening it up.  The 44 is good deer medicine out to 125-150 yd.  DP

This is my first handi. The guy next to me was shooting a rem 700 in 7mm-08 and he was impressed with the little rifle as well.

I am sure I have been bit by the virus.. I am eyeballin a .357....

My hunting laod -- 21.5 gr of 2400 behind the same bullet -- has similar power. My grand total of one deer dropped on the spot and didn't get up.

Awesome. I bet the deer you shoot with any of those loads won't know that you covered them with a quarter instead of a dime. Congratulations on the gun and loads. I am saving for a 357 myself now. It will wear straight grips and schnable walnut when I get it with a Bushnell Red Dot.

That sounds like you have a plan... I think I am going to have to put a Boyds thumbhole on my .357, I'm not sure about the optics yet. I had that bushnell red dot, but I traded it.  ::)

Thanks

Mike

I figure all of my 357 shots will be less than 50 yards so a red dot is all I need. I looked at one yesterday in my favorite gun shop and started to take it home, but thought I may hold out a little while. If it sits there long I can get about 30 bucks off of it. I know that is cheap but I am still trying to justify my walking out on a gun I am wanting. It will more than likely become a max soon after I buy it, but you never know I will have to see how it shoots when I get one to decide.

That is my next plan at the range... 100 yds with the 240 xtp's. I don't know when that will be, I am working a bunch. (Which I am very thankful for)

thanks for you input...

What part of Indiana?
