NEW RIDE
« on: March 04, 2010, 09:32:56 PM »
I bought a new Mustang Convertable yesterday.
Candy Apple Red.
Justification--
After months of thinking about the Expedition and being happy with it--I analyzed my situation.
Just two of us.
Can't lift and haul anything anymore.
My wife doesn't like climbing in.
Better milage.
Really didn't NEED all the space in the Expedition.

Cons
Really nice ride and luxury.

If I was going smaller I was going topless.
Tested a number over the last few weeks.
The only car that was a better fit was a Mercedes and it was close---even the ride.

Down-side is the passenger seat. It sits too low for my wife. Any suggestions? I am going back to the dealership and see if there is a jack up pedistal or another seat I can get for her.

CANDY APPLE RED!
Hell boys---I am on the 70 mark and I wanted too.
Blessings

Well, HECK Bill, Thats a new ride fer sure! I kinda liked the expedition, you wont be jumping any curbs to get out of gridlock with that mustang I'll bet. I'll have to tell Jordo, he will be amused. He also may show up with a suitcase too! Is the passenger seat lower than the drivers seat? Get her one of them lift seats like they have for kids!  ;D

Been there, done that……….today I feel much safer and much more comfortable in my F-250 Crew Cab.

I bought my first convertible in 1957 in Washington D.C. while stationed at Sondrestrom AB, Greenland.  I didn’t pick the car up until I returned to the states in April of 1958.  This is the car I owned when the wife and I were married in 1959.  Since then we have owned and enjoyed several convertibles.

I think every man should have the pleasure of owning at least one convertible and one motorcycle in their lifetime, I have had my share of both…….. ::)

Enjoy your new ride, but remember while riding the roads of Texas, don’t pull along side, or get too close on the rear bumper of a cattle truck……….. ;D ;D ;D
