Another NIB M-375
« on: April 18, 2010, 01:50:47 PM »
It must be something in the air! I also recieved a new in the box, unfired Marlin 375 this week from a member of another forum. It to had the original price on the box, $189.99. It was from JC Penny. I have not had the chance to fire mine yet but intend to as soon as I have all my reloading stuff together. I am waiting on dies and brass. I already have some suitable bullets since I have a JES re-bore 38/55 that was bored .375" It was originally a 336T in 30/30 with an18.5 inch bbl. I think I may have to start casting to feed these 38 caliber rifles!
I hope you enjoy your new toy! I like mine. I hope to hunt with it this fall. I found the re-bored Texan a joy to pack in the woods and think the Sporting Carbine look of the the M-375 is very neat and well balanced.

Congrats on your find!  What year is yours, mine is 1980 and the tag was for $129.99 also JC Penny.  Took mine out today and like it as much as my 38-55.  Quicker handling with the shorter, lighter barrel.  I ran 20 rounds of 220 Hornady and 20 rounds of 245 gr Cast.  Gonna have to order more brass, only have 60 cases for the 375.  I'm lovin mine, I know you will too.  DP

I love the caliber but out off the 4, 375s I've owned not one shot good. The marlins 375 was a real disapointment for me......Hope yours is wonderfull but none of mine were.  ::)
