Anyone can mark the underlug with the serial numbers, H&R has always just marked the last three on the underlug tho, it doesn't necessarily mean it's a factory fitted barrel, but it also doesn't mean it's not a factory fitted barrel because it's loose, sometimes that happens, specially if it's been shot a lot and not lubed, or hot loads have set the underlug back or was just fitted poorly to begin with. They'll know when you call and ask tho. I'd make sure it's on an SB2 frame depending on the chambering since there are 4 digits marked on the underlug, that in itself is suspicious. Tim
Yes, Gander or someone was selling them on SB2 frames in 2007/2008, and they've always been available as an accessory barrel, they always had sights, if it's only drilled and tapped for a scope base, it's a late 2008 or later accessory barrel.Tim
