Part swap question
« on: March 07, 2010, 01:14:41 PM »
I have a 20ga pardner that has a 2.5 lbs trigger and a 25-06 that has a 4.25 lbs trigger.  Are the parts interchangeable?  Can I drop all of the parts of the 20 into the 25-06 and visa-versa?  Thanks.

Why don't you just do a trigger job on the 06?

What Spanky said, why mess with both frames gambling that the parts will even work together when you swap them? These frames aren't precision made, to expect the lighter trigger to happen after swapping parts isn't likely, just do a trigger job on the 25-06 frame, it's all covered in the FAQs.  ;)

I have already had it apart.  I did everything except stone the trigger and hammer.  I felt like it helped and when I measured it the pull weight went from 4 lbs 9.5 oz to 4 lbs 5oz.  I am unsure of my abilities to do the stoning.  Maybe I will try it now that I know how to take the gun apart.  Thanks for the info though.
