Ihmsa in North carolina?

Anyone here in NC that is shooting Ihmsa, hopefully in the Piedmont area?
Back a while ago I inquired to a few clubs, but all they were shooting was 22 cal.
Im interested in some place that will allow my 357 mag TC Contender and possibly my 45 ACP 1911.
Suggestions?

Check the IHMSA site for schedules.  Although it lookis like they are done for the year with the last published date being in September.  Hopefully they will be shooting next year. 
You could use both of the guns you list in the FP catagory

The Catawba Valley Rifle & Pistol Club in Conover N.C. shoots both big bore and .22, usually April through Sept., when the low southern sun gets in your eyes.

I really appreciate the info. Since I live in Salisbury,, this is close enough travel wise.
Can I assume that you do not have to be member of the club to participate in a match there?
I see there is a contact person for the club, Guess i should contact him directly for all the rules and procedures.
Do the both of you compete there and if so, what can I expect throughout the day?

Yes, Ronnie Brown also happens to be the president of the club. He can fill you in on the details of forthcoming matches, although a 2010 schedule has not been set yet.. No, you do not need to be a member of the CVRPC to compete in matches. You will want to be a member of the IHMSA, though, so as to become classified and become familiar with all the rules.
I haven't competed in several years, although I first began shooting IHMSA matches in 1978, and was a Match Director at this club, as well as the Catawba County Wildlife Club, for several years. I was also the N.C. State Director of IHMSA from 1985-1987.
FYI, the Rowan County Wildlife Club off Majolica Rd. outside Salisbury once had an active NRA Metallic Silhouette program. You should also contact them to see what they're doing now.

I do not compete there.  Just a little far from home for me (2803 mile by google map) 
I run the matches at Paul Bunyan Rifle club in Puyallup Washington.  I am also the Washington state director.  Just trying to help point you in the right direction.

I almost made it to the CVRP match last weekend 3/20 for a look see/ask questions plus bringing the shooting gear just in case. But daughter dropped her kids off, for the Wifey and I to watch for the day and I couldn't leave my female alone with all 3 of the house wreckers.
I see that there are 2 shooting days next month. Im going to be at one of them.
Ive read the rule book many times and I seem to be in compliance for the Big bore and FP with my 10 inch 357 Contender.
Problem right now is finding a good prone position to use for a scoped pistol. I have searched all the pics and videos I could find,stretched myself out on the living room floor trying everything I could think of to find a body only supported position thats half way comfortable.
Looks like I might have to find a stock rear sight to use instead.
Im pretty jazzed about this shooting sport, for the past 30 years Ive been interested. But somehow Life has always intruded. Might have been IPSC at the semi pro level,family, then Military rifle steel  competitions,raising grandchildren as my own for the past 6 years. Think I have about cleared my plate and now its time for me to play as I want to.
