Heh, nope. Couple of times I did a full convex, that's the only way I could do it. Seems like if you practiced enough, you could develop a "roll motion" off the platen, but not that interested in convex. To tell the truth, though, most of my flat grinds are very slightly convex, just the way I grind. But only very slightly. Still think flatgrinding produces the best cutting blade geometry, although hollowgrinds might have the best cutting edge(as opposed to blade) geometry. SInce I build them as general purpose woods knives that's what I grind. Do like a convex edge if the customer wants one.
