Ok, after 200 or so rounds it continues to shoot low, from other forums I discovered that supposedly the sights are set that way for a semi-combat or PP gun because the shoooter usually aims a lil high in tense situations. Whatever, I may want to get me a deer with it one day. It groups really good out to 35 yds from a bench but is 3'" or so low. I want to get it right on with target visible and  not covered by sight, I have to try really hard to be consistant with the high bead I have to hold. Anyone recommend a good adjustable sight ? I wanna see the target rather than cover it up.For PP it is ok, but I need it to be a lil more ON.Seems I need a higher rear sight, Correct?

Lovely gun!

Those sights you are replaceing are pretty pricey tritium and a bit fragile.  You sure you want to do this?  Also, as a side note, your gorgeous gray stocks are selling for a C-note and up on the sig forum.  I put the rosewood on mine for everyday use.  The plastic grips are nice too, and give a little slimmer profile if your S.O. would show an interest.

I probably shouldn't worry about stuff like this.  SIG makes a few other models of their 229.  I'm not sure they had deer hunting in mind when they designed the Equinox, but you never know!

You have a great SIG!

Ive oredered a rear adjustable factory sig sight. I just want it to shoot same as all my other guns as far as sight picture is concerned.I cannot shoot it as well as I do my others even on paper at a distance. I dont see how anyone can when you have to cover the target or bullseye completely up .I should have it driving nails by this weekend. Im sure sig didnt design this as hunting weapon. But I shoot all my guns at a variety of things and when in need I want to be familar with it for that just in case moment. It will be on the hip alot come fall, snakes, coyotes, bobcats and hogs are sneaky @ bow season. I guess some are happy with a self defense carry weapon, some have lots of safe quenns, I plan on getting my $ worth out of most things I buy these days. I have the parts and pieces comming to try reloading for the 1st time.Gotta feed the sig.Oh yea , its a 220 in 45 acp.
