P380

Anyone else own a Kahr P380?

Mine will not release the magazine unless you push up on it to get it to release. Are they all like that?

I've tried the Ruger LCP, the Rohrbaugh 380, and the Kahr 380.  I sold both the Ruger and the Rohrbaugh.  The Kahr was the most accurate of the three, digested every kind of ammo I tried--both US and foreign and has sights I can actually see.  For me the Kahr was the best choice.  By the way, it likes everything but seems to shoot the Gold Dot's the best.

I got mine off Gun broker for $525. Buds gets them in but they don't last long and I have to pay tax and CC card fees being local.

Doug, have you gotten you magazine release problem solved? That doesn't sound right to me. It might just be something that will go away with use because of a burr or something. But if it didn't pretty soon I'd send it back to Kahr. I had to send my first K40 back over 10 years ago and they were great, never had another hiccup. CH

it sounds like you have a burr on the mag or the latch
take a good look and see if you can find a burr.

Nope,

I ran another 50 rounds through it this weekend and it seams to be getting better. If it does not free up I will send it back after I get the "new" wore off.

Alot of people say , you need to run about 200 rounds thru a Kahr to get it broken in and running right.
Maybe you got one that needs a good breaking in.

Isnt that a shame, to have to take that gun to the range and run a few boxes of ammo thur it ?  ;D ::)

Not near as bad as the Kel-tec. After 50 rounds through the Kel-tec I was ready to switch back to the 1911 to give my hand a break.  The p380 is not a brutal on the hand.
