Satellite and local stations

I line on the NC outer banks.  For TV purposes, we are in the Norfolk VA market, thus the local satellite stations available in my village are all from Va.  I am more interested in NC local news.  Can I get a dish package from an inland NC dealer and use it at my home to get NC local stations?
