Ya, check your neck depth first. My chamber neck is way out at 1.79!
You can cut/or find a case short, say 1.70 save a small split ring of the case. Seat a bullet in that case, then slide that ring over the bullet and chamber it, the split ring will/should stop at the chamber neck and slide down the bullet to give you an idea where the neck ends.
I shoot break action singles, so it was easy to do a cerro safe chamber cast. Knowing chamber dimention may not do anything for me, but I like to know.
