Morpheus Can-Mort Project
« on: March 17, 2010, 03:17:47 PM »
Well it's not Gold yet but Golden BB Gopher thinks it's cool .
Just a bit more to fix .
Art work  + 2 hours auto cad time + CNC cutting table = a really cheap prize .  ::)
good thing Morpheus had some" call ins" due  ;)

What do you think  ?  Have a nice piece of Walnut to add base so it will display right nice ....

Should I continue with this or can the project ?
We had problems cutting . The auto hight on CNC torch bumps down too hard on a small piece and moves it off x/y axis . Plus the table is designed for larger work . This was cut from a small piece of 12 gage .
so the work is a bit rough . The cannon balls not round , slivery flag poles , nothing to scale , nothing accurate , no class at all. >:(

Not worth pursuing any further.  You should discard it.  I'll dispose of it properly for you... ;D

Both look pretty good, especially for first time cut-outs. A few more, and you'll have them cleaned up! Look good in my opinion, plus a great concept. Go thicker, and a bit bigger, and you'll be fine! BoomLover

Go thicker, and a bit bigger

Actually were are going to try thinner but with a larger sheet for stability . Also with a new cutting tip . He has cut 16 gage with out problems .   But as you say , it takes a few trys . I hate to press my luck with him as he is VERY INDEPENDENT !  :o  ::)  ;D

got a coat of primer on last night . Off to meetings today  so may try a gold layer tonight .

It does look rustic and hand hewn .  Tough to do with a CNC table like his .  :D
some of his work is @    www.mtmaverick.com
