From the Pictures as Everyone has pointed out it is a military rifle that has been sporterized.
From the looks I would say a 95. the vent in the reciever is what i am going by.
Since it is a sporter... It could be mixed and matched to make it what the customer wanted.
I would say it was a rifle (full lenght) that has been cut down from the 29" barrel. The lack of a front sight bump on the muzzle makes me think it was cut.
The only way to know who it was made for is to look at the crest, that is under the front scope mounts.
There are other clues as to who made it in the proof marks.
If it is Spanish, Mexican, South African, or one of the many other countries that used the 7X57. It is a well made rifle and looks like the sporterizing was done well.
The wreath around the crest makes me think Spain.
I would not dismount the scope to find out unless you had plans to change the scope.
