Bbl swapping question
«

I have a 22lr Sportster I bought new about 3 years ago. Will this frame be okay to use a 223 or 357 bbl? If so, how far can I go? Does it make a difference that it is a rimfire frame? Thanks in advance. Wallacem in Ga

Is it a no-no because of strength, or does not work?

You could, though, make a nice swap barrel set with .17HMR and .22WMR, dedicated scopes on each of those with the open sights on the .22LR.
You would be good for small varmints to about 150yd. and even coyote out to 125ish.

I know, I already sent it in and had both other bbls fitted. I was just wondering how much further I could go.

The SS1 Sportster frame will only work with rimfire barrels due to the firing pin location.
