What options for rear sight blade heights?
« on: March 26, 2010, 05:25:50 PM »
Hello all,
I recently purchased a used .357 mag. 10 inch octagon barrel.  I got to the range, and found that it shot about 12 inches high (above point of aim) at 25 yards with factory iron sights (with the rear sight at its lowest setting).  I can see that the front sight is soldered on, and is not interchangeable.  Are different height rear sight blades available?  I need a lower rear sight blade.  Anyone know where I can get such a thing (if they exsist)?  I would be very greatful for any help.
Thanks,
Lee H.

I have cut the slot down in the rear sights to match the point of impact and filed the top down the same amount. If you go to far you can always move it up.

There are several different blade heights available.  Look for a sight that is shorter than yours.
