I'm diggin my FNs
« on: January 08, 2011, 07:01:14 AM »
223 and 308, I know every thing has a honeymoon but I sure am liking these rifles.  I have shot each at 200 yds, it was a little windy and they did about 3" for five shots but I see a lot of potential down the line. I'm still getting acquainted with these guys.

I have an old varixIII at the leupold factory that is gonna go on the 223.    I put an ancient wire reticle K4 on the 7.62 and that is there to stay.  I'm a low power fixed glass fan but I gotta have that higher magnification due to fact that I can watch the hits on the 223, what a blast.

Nice pair.  Are they built on the new model 70 CRF actions?

my pics are terrible but they are pretty recent models, I think they are both TSR XPs and the stocks are the rubbery hogues, which I really like. both 20" tubes.

John, that's a very nice pair. I could do 75-80% of my hunting
with those 2, but then I would have to sell a bunch of guns.  ;)

Most "Tactical" rifles like the Rem SPS Tact. & the Ruger Tact. use the hogue pillar bedded, but I hear the FN/Win uses the "bedding block" version which is a lot better. Is this true?
