Stevens 200 stock??

Some time ago I saw where someone put a steel rod in the forearm to help take some of the flex out of it.  I've been trying to find it again.  I tried the search and had no luck.  Does anyone else have any idea on this..

Its on page 4 under, stevens 200 horrible stock- help me refinish, Hope this helps
