Saw the peep sight question and thought I`d weigh  in.   Especially when you said, " eyes are getting to old."
I just put a Williams Fire Sight peep (has the fiber optic bead in the front sight) on my Win 94. I know you said, older Puma but this is an eye issue. Anyway, when i look through the aperture and zero in on the front sight.....I see double!  Tried taking the aperture out and just looking through the hole ......no difference.
I have no idea what the problem is.   Going to call Williams just to see if they`ve
     had any complains.

Went to the range and while it did bother me I got it zeroed in at 25 yds. Went to the 100 yd range and and I couldn`t see chitt!  Should of had a bigger target with
a much darker center.   Finally ended up just trying to guess where the center of the target was and fired away.  It must have been my day as I was just left of the 10 ring by about 2 inches.  Really....I could not see the center of the target.
I don`t know if this helps or not  but I`ll bet my eyes are older than yours.
Going to leave it on the 94 and just deal with the issue as I must say it looks
       very nice.

Thanks for the info Savage, When they first came out my wife got me one of those red dot scopes for my 10/22, when I was younger it was a crisp red dot, now it looks like the milky-way to me, I thought at first that it was something wrong with the scope and asked my son to try it out, he said it looked like a sharp red dot to him, yep old eyes..........................steg
