I decided to try to actually talk to someone yesterday at Remington about the Handi-Rifles...WoW...what a run around I got..
I simply wanted to be able to talk with someone in charge..and you would have thought I was asking to talk to the Pope or something..After being bounced around a full 3 times and well over 1-1/2 hours on the phone..I was sent from the corporate office back to the plant several times..I did manage to talk with the supervisor in the plant who puts the rifles into production..I couldn't get any real information out of him about what is or isn't going to be built..because all he can say is he builds what he is told to build. He couldn't offer any explanation as to what will or won't be produced..or what the c/s department has in stock or what they are going to order and when
Man I really hate this..at least when H&R ran things I could get some info from them..but now..it's so compartmentalized there is no way of doing this. His knows all about us here..and frequents the place..so at least someone there is staying abreast of what we are asking for...but...this isn't going to do any good per him. What we need to do is to put what we are asking for as to calibers/barrel lengths/stocks and such into a letter form and submit it to the corporate office for customer support..Been there..Done that already..but might try it again and see if it will do any good..
I was told there will be a Shot Show this coming weekend in Vernon NY at the Trinity Casino where there will be some of the H&R booths available..but he couldn't say who would be there or what they would be showing.. So..if anyone interested in attending this..please do and take a lot of pictures and ask a lot of questions..You might also want to print out the Handi poll to take along..We do need to get what we are asking for going up to corporate and this might be a way to do this depending on who is at the show..
