Cattle Stalker Down
« on: March 26, 2010, 06:04:01 AM »
Had one of my land owners call me complaining about the Coyotes giving his cattle some trouble.  Me and a friend set up that afternoon just watching the cattle graze the field.  No calling or anything like that.  About an hour into it, this yote came walking out of the same tree line that we were in.  My friend lazed him at 202yds and my 7mm-08 sent a 150gr SMK right through the chest with a broad side shot. He dropped on the spot and bled out quickly. It was a 30-35lb male.
It's all a hot mess...........

It deserves another evening in the same area.  Where there is one there will be others.  Got to keep the land owner and cows happy.
Where is old Joe when we really need him?  Alaska Independence    Calling Illegal Immigrants "Undocumented Aliens" is like calling Drug Dealers "Unlicensed Pharmacists"
What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

LOL, no patch needed.  I don't keep hides. He was shedding his winter coat pretty good.

That scope is a Millet TSR 4-16 x 50.  So far I have liked the scope alot.  It's my first 30mm scope and it is big.  Took a little to get used to carrying it around. The only complaint that I have about it is that the lighted retical went out.  I don't use it anyway.
