Perhaps they've seen the light?
« on: January 14, 2004, 03:14:43 AM »
After exploring the world of crap 420 stainless steel, I see Cold Steel's new product line for 2004 includes 3 new Carbon V fixed blade knives (carbon versions of 420 blades), a Scottish dirk of 1050 steel (a fine carbon steel if heat treated correctly), and the most excellent return of the Recon Scout - a fine knife.  One thing I would love to see added to this lineup is a sgian dubh to match the dirk.....

Perhaps Cold steel is getting back to designing blades for performance?  Wouldn't that be nice....

I don't know, but I know Cold Steel does not like knives that are not sharp.  This seems to be one way to make sure they are. :D

I have the Cold Steel "Openel" type folder that is Carbon V steel. It's razor sharp and stays that way too. Nice. Do you know the web site for them?

Here's Cold Steel's website, but buy from Knife Outlet, they are cheaper, and give good service. :D
