Fill screw for removed sights

I'm putting a red dot on my huntsman muzz, I would like to remove the williams fire sights when I add the scope. Is there a certain size screw I could put in the holes to fill in where I remove the sights? I hope I'm making this clear. Thanks.

edit: got a reply on another forum, suggesting that the fill screws currently where the scope base goes will probably fit. He's probably right, I'll give it a try once my base arrives. I got the short 4" one from numrich since I'm putting a millet red dot on there.

Bump.... I know this is an old thread, but surely there is a playce I can just get the fill screws right? The ones that held the sights in are too long. I had to remove the front sight because it showed up just below the dot in my red dot. Removed the rear for consistency.

Rear sight holes are 6-48, front sights are either 6-48 or 3-48, Brownell's carries the 6-48, you may be able to order them from H&R too.

Thanks a ton! This helps a lot and saves me having to take the gun into a shop and have them root through a bin of screws

I can check and see if the front and back are the same or not when I get home.
