Is this a good deal for a annual hunting lease?
« on: April 29, 2010, 04:34:31 PM »
I'm looking at 640 acres in Central Texas for $2500. Deer, turkey, some hogs, & a few stock tanks. This has been a chore even finding one at this price!! It's been a while since I've looked at private hunting leases, & the prices are ridiculous!!

Thanks

It depends on what you get.  Water, elec., season or yearly, deer and turkey, hogs, dove, quail. I hunt south of Hamilton for less than half of that. Been there for 12 years at least,  on 750 acres, and we can hunt anything legal in Texas. Most leases are way too high at this time of year. Look at Chamber of Commerce near the town you want to hunt.  Good luck!!!
