Had to take a breather, feel better now
« on: March 27, 2010, 05:27:06 PM »
For all of you who took the time to respond to my "something positive" post of about a week ago, thank you.  I do feel better now.

I also feel energized.  I feel that, if we are willing to give of our time, speak freely with an informed point of view, and peaceably assemble in support of liberty NOW and through November, we'll be part of one of the largest political landslides in History.  I also believe that even the most ardent democrats, if they own a calculator and love their kids, are seeing the light.

Reagan won 49 states.  I believe that 40 are there for the taking in 2012, and maybe more.

It is time to unite, those of us who produce, be we blue collar, white collar, business owner or entrepreneur.  We can, and we will do this.

Never be silent in the face of evil, and stand for what is right, even if you are standing alone.

BTW, I read the end of the book, we win ;) ;) ;)

You are welcome. After the vote I felt deflated. I knew what the outcome would be and just watched because these are the most historic times in this country's history and we are witnessing it. The next day I, like you, was energized and not depressed at all which I probably would have been given the past. We will see what we are made of and I believe we can prevail because we are AMERICANS!!! I don't say that to be arrogant or holier than thou to the rest of the world. I say that with pride because we have been blessed by God with a sacred mission and that is to preserve our Constitution and our way of life. We have many more dark hours ahead. We will have very hard times there will be no escaping that. As Ronald Reagan once said, "You and I have a rendevouz with destiny." No truer words have been spoken. Steve

What is it you want us to organize behind? The republicans? Seriously? They've not changed and are still under the control of the cabal same as the dumocraps are and will just move us down the same path perhaps at a slower pace but just the same the end goal of both is the same.

That goal is the end of the US Constitution and our last R prez did about as much as any to nail the coffin lid shut on it. Nope that's not the answer and if folks don't wake up to that reality soon it will be too late.

What must happen is that from the tea party movement and one or more of the already existent third parties must come a single strong viable party to rise up and challenge the old guard. This must begin locally and move to the state level before it can move to the national level. Time is running short and no one is carrying the banner and there appears to be no one willing to step up and take on the job. I thought maybe Sara was going to be she's tucked tail and run back to the repubs so it's not her.

Nope nothing is gonna chanage really it's gonna continue to be politics as usual where every so often we kick out one party and stick in the other only to do it all over again a few years later. They are two sides of the same coin and that coin is issued by the cabal and owned by the cabal and so are both current parties. If kicking out the Ds and putting in the Rs is the best plan we've got then all we've got is a plan to lead us to hell and friend we're heading their full speed ahead on a well greased down hill slide.

big business is currently dictating huge areas of policy in you're country and mine. until we either convince politicians to break that tie, or convince big business that they shouldn't destroy the standard of living that surrounds them, we have little to look forward to

Many of us here have been around to see the pendulum swing back and forth a number of times.  This time though, it has swung so far to the left that I truly worry that this no longer is our Daddy's America.  This November will tell the story.

I'm hoping that the political swing to the right will be as radical as the left swing that we are plagued with at the moment, but I know that will be fraught with a myriad of problems also.

I believe that, if we get active, and stay active, that we can change this political system.  Whether it be a third party, or a rejuvenated republican party, to me it doesn't matter.  If it is the Flying Purple People Eater party, I really don't care.

But, this is important.  If someone doesn't like a given existing party, the fastest and most efficient way to influence that party is to be active at the Primary level.  Show up at party caucuses, committee meetings, etc.

Most of us would be stunned to discover just how few people actually attend Party meetings.  In fact, if one of us decided to gather about 20 of our friends and spontaneously attend our local Democratic party conference after the primaries, we'd catch them off guard and we could write a local party platform straight from the libertarian point of view.  20, thats right, 20.  Plus, we could send a staunch conservative to the Democratic State convention.  How's that for the few, the proud, the politically aware?

It isn't necessary, IMHO, to reinvent the wheel.  It is necessary, however, to quit sitting on our posteriors moaning and groaning.  We must jump in the pickup, drive to wherever we want to have impact, and HAVE IMPACT.

If you really want to change the world, bring 3 people with you.

For what it's worth we're looking at a nice sunny warm week down here in Oklahoma.
We'll be able to start putting cabin fever to rest for another year.

As for the folks who want out vote, well let's see which is the lesser of two evils again.
I think a lot of people are drawing thier conclusions on that right now.

We've all seen what a third party can do.

A grassroots movement sure would be nice.
With technology want it is today it's cheaper than every to get a name out there.
It's just wether people will recognize them in enough volume to matter.

I don't care how bad things get, I'll not darken the doorway of any Dumbycrat headquarters--period.  I belonged to a labor union for over 37 years and the Dumbycrats in that membership treated the union as if it were a natural extension of the Dumby Party.  They especially liked to control the treasury for their selfish socialist agenda.  I and enough other members of the union didn't allow the Dumbies to control things for a time and the resentment was obvious.  Due to a bunch of retirements etc., the union fell back into Dumby control.  It doesn't much matter anymore, because the company was bought out and is currently being run into the ground.  The union is just about defunct.

Sharke,

Just ponder the time that lapsed between the Stamp act and the Revolution and then freedom.
We need to stay the course.  That has encouraged me.  I'm the kind that wants to see it done now
but history doesn't support that.

Bronco,  Love the Bonnie Blue!
