Trifecta scope mount?
« on: January 04, 2010, 02:36:33 AM »
Can anyone tell me what type of mount will fit on my trifecta .243 and .22 caliber barrels? Do I have to buy one from Rossi or is there a standard mount that will fit? Thanks for any help, Worm.

T/C Encore fit my .22 barrel.
Edited 01/09 : I think it was a Contender. And it was a youth .22 barrel

T/C Contender has the correct hole spacing and fits both my .357 and .22 Rossi singles.

The Weaver number is 92A.

The contender mount has the wrong raidus to fit the Rossi trifecta.  It is proper for the youth 22-410 combo rifle however.  The holes line up on both, but it does not fit both.  Larry

Tried my T/C mounts, but they didn't work. Found a 17HMR barrel on gunbroker for a good price and it comes with mount and rings, but I still need to come up with a more mounts. Anyone have any mounts they might want to sell or trade for? If not I guess I'll have to go to the gun store and hope they have them. Thanks for the help. Worm

As I understand it, the Trifecta is the youth version of the 3 barrel matched sets that Rossi sells.  All the matched sets are listed here:

http://www.rossiusa.com/product-list.cfm?category=2

I don't really recommend the Trifecta because in the larger calibers the recoil is brutal, especially for a small person.  However, you can tame the recoil with a good recoil pad.  I put a slip on Limbsaver over the existing recoil pad.  The small one works pretty good.  I hear the adult version of the matched set is much better, recoil wise.  I would go that way if I were to do it over again.  But then, the Trifecta fits real well in a duffle bag or back pack.  The .22 setup even fits in my briefcase!

I used the Weaver 92A mount on my Trifecta .22 barrel.  Works just fine.  I think even Sports Authority carries them.  Otherwise, most any gun store.
