Handi Question
« on: March 30, 2010, 08:28:49 AM »
Looks like a shortage of new Handi`s has began! Especially with 30-30 and .308 calibers. Any reason for this and is Remington going to continue manufacture the NEF Handi`s?

Just about as many answers to that ? as there are members here. Scroll thru some pages and you will find many theories and much speculation .Even remington don't seem to know for sure what 's gonna happen next.  ;)Kurt

The only NEF marked firearms still made are the imported repeater shotguns, everything else is marked H&R, has been this way for a few years, you won't find NEF mentioned much on the website. H&R firearms are still alive and well, new stock can be found at the major online retailers like Bud's, RR and Davidson's. H&R stated the end of 2008 that they'd only be producing the best selling offerings for the first year of operation at Ilion, that has turned out to be true, so there aren't a lot of firearms available, but they're out there if you know where to look. RR has 3 308s in stock, they also have 28 Talo 357mags in stock for anyone interested.  ;)

I just went there and they didn't show them?   ???  Surely they haven't sold out?

Nevermind, you gotta search by caliber alone...

Atlaw,

Buds has a tendency to put rifles in the shotgun listing and shotguns in the rifle listing.  Try searching H&R and NEw England under both rifles and shotguns.

Good luck finding your 30 30

Yeah, Bud's has a weird search engine.  Sometime you have to search a couple different ways to find something.
