Question on Mod 37 Win-16 gauge
« on: April 03, 2010, 06:30:36 PM »
Information on barrel indicates choke  -, and that is all that it shows just the word choke and a dash. Were these made in full choke are were there options? This one was my grandfathers and never been fired!

Wow, my very first shotgun was a 37 in 16 ga. Mine had a 28" bbl, and a "full" choke. It was really more like "extra full" by today's standards. It sure would anchor birds way out there. I don't remember what the barrel markings were on mine. I sure do miss it, when I was in my 20's, some *$$---- stole it out of my pickup truck. In downtown Alamogordo, NM. Broke my heart.

I believe they were all full choke, regardless of barrel length or gauge.
