Shot (4) different cast loads today,
460 Grn Cast Performance GC - H4198
500 RNFP Lee GC - H4198
520 Grn Postels no GC, loads with H4198 and BH209
50 yards only as that will be my zero for this short barrel 45 70.
The 520 Grn Postels shot the best, 33 Grain H4198, 2.75 OAL, light LFC, 1" @ 50 yards for 3 shots. No leading.
Hoot to shot and I am very happy. This is better accuracy than I had before I chopped the barrel.
The BH209 is a waste of $$$ in my gun as I haven't found a load with it that is even remotely accurate. I expected more since I get 1" groups @ 100 yards with this powder in my MZ.
