Gee...wonder why you brought that up...are you trying to tell me something about my sources?  Seems to me the most liberal media in the U.S. had plenty of stories about Israel getting blown up by suicide bombs, it was pretty much all over the world.   I pointed out to you earlier when you brought up the Oslo agreement what actually happened directly after that...no comment from you, I guess you were saying none of those things ever happened either.

I think there is no more point in arguing if your going to sit there and tell me the Palestinians never hurt anybody, and do not have known terrorits among them. What would be the point to go on any further?

TM7, My post had nothing to do with feeding hate; and everything to do with presenting the truth. Truth is, the Palestinian people are not valued by their brothers apart from their geography. I'm making no statement on the actions of Israel, so please do not read into my silence on a subject as a statement on that subject. Sectors of the Arab world want the US to believe that Palestine is the issue, but it is not, and they admit that in Arabic language outlets that they know very few Americans will ever try to understand. They want to drive a wedge between Israel and its largest and strongest ally, the US. Why? The Arab world is not a passive victim in this situation, they have an agenda. So regardless of how poorly Israel has acted, should we simply demonize them and ignore all that the Arab world is doing as well? That would be foolish. We're in the middle, regardless of how we got here, and we can either take sides, take over, or get out.

Your posts should remind us that Israel is not perfect, nor without sin; that's a healthy perspective. The fact remains we have a commitment to them, and should, but let it be an eyes wide open arrangement, not blinded by either hate or abject worship.

There is a ton of history concerning all of this that goes way back, I will be the first to admit Palestinians had some hard times, you bet.  You can also go WAY back to where the word Palestine was not mentioned in the original Hebrew or Greek bible texts.  Back in those days the story goes the Romans cracked down on the Jews more than once and drove them out and killed them...they were the ones that came up with word Palestine, according to most studies that care to go back that far.
You can even find where many would say by God's standards, the word Palestine is illegitimate.  To name the entire region in honor of the Philistines—bitter enemies of Israel for centuries—insults the Jews. The Romans chose this name because they knew it would be an abomination to the Jews. For these reasons, some informed political leaders and statesmen still denounce the term “Palestine.”   Lady Margaret Thatcher was one of those.  So it all depends how you wish to look at it based upon your knowledge...which the only way to get that is to read as much as you can.  I would tend to agree if it comes down to it...there ain't no such thing as Palestine really, most people don't go far enough back to look at where that word came from.  

So in light of all this history that goes back as far as you wish to go...I was just saying, in these times, it seems there will be no peace between these people.  

We can all study the history and go back far enough to say Israel was the bad ones, or go back farther and find out there was no Palistine except the Romans made it so while killing the Jews....what is the use of all of this?  In Israels eyes, there is probably no such thing as Palistine except what was forced upon them in the beginning.  Interesting stuff, sure.

Peace is not likely now that certain terrorists groups are involved with a big agenda.

TM7, Yes, there are Arab states advocating for the situation in Palestine, but against other Arab states who really want it all to blow up, and since they don't care about the Palestinians, its okay that there blood gets spilt. Besides, they'll cover it up by declaring Palestine a nation of Martyrs. Still doesn't make it the issue, just a ploy to manipulate the US and isolate Israel. I do care about our troops, so much in fact that I volunteered to risk the rest of my life serving along side them in harm's way. And from my perspective on the ground, Israel is not the big deal the media says it is. Imagine that, the media is skewed. Where'd I hear that? Oh, from you. Read Why We Hate America? Not the american version, the one published in Cairo I think. The safety of our troops is way more dependent on inappropriate national security strategies than anything involving Israel.

As for dual citizenship, is there not a law already against it? Would it not simply suffice to enforce that law? I don't need a plan, program or agenda to simply implement what already exists, eventhough it may just be in neglect.

I have no explanation; if its illegal it should be enforced. That's my stance anyway. Of course I see articles of the UCMJ violated all the time and it depends on who the violator is to determine whether or not to prosecute. What do you want me to say, the laws aren't fairly applied? Ok. If that's part of an agenda its not one I've been briefed on.

Actually, Jordan and a few more of the "progressive" arab states have had the most level headed statements on the situation in Palestine. They seem to genuinely and sincerely care about people. The 4 you mention are exactly the type I was describing; they use Palestine to manipulate their adversaries, nothing more.

TN. Good post, all true. Jordan was one of 2 that offered the so called palestinians land for a home of their own, even offered to help resettle them, they of course refused because a permanent home is not what they want. They only want more of Israel because the Jews own it.  POWDERMAN.
