I put an old Leupold 3X fixed power scope on it. I've had that scope on quite a few guns, mostly on various 45/70s that I've owned.

I also have a Nikon Prostaff 2-7x32 shotgun scope on my 500S&W, it's mounted in low Leupold PRW rings, close to 200 rounds down range so far, and they weren't plinking loads either, 350grXTPs at 2150fps,  385gr at 2100fps, 400gr at 1900fps and 700gr at 1400fps, all with Lil'gun.  ;)

Why a Leupold, is there any other? LOL  ::)

2x7x33 VXII Matt finish with a German #1 reticule.

I have tried many different powder and bullet combinations. I finally found gas checked lead bullets and moderate velocities where key to accuracy in my gun. XMP 5744 workes well. Trail boss shows promice, but at very lo velocities.
