game law ?

I can't find my game law " summary" ,  can anyone tell me the law regarding the length of time a person can have vension in the freezer after the end of the last deer season.  I was thinking 6 months....that still on the books ?  Thanks

What state you talking about? Here in Pa we don't have that law any more. Good till it gets eaten. Helps us poachers.         just kidding.

Mtn jack ,  I was asking about Pa.  Didn't know that law was taken off the books, when did that happen ? ???  Guess I'm really behind the times.

I didnt realize it was taken off the books either....have to let the guys at work know, we just had this discussion the other day!!

I didn't know it changed either, but I asked a Game Warden about having venison after the date some years back.. I told him that I hunted in Ohio, Indiana, and Pennsylvania each year and  took up to 12 deer... said that it would be silly to get rid of that meat by the date... he agreed, but said that I should keep the tags for the deer handy(Ohio and Indiana has mandatory checkin and give metal tags for the carcass)... So, I took him at his word and have never worried about it since then.  Never thought of all the canned venison until this post...

just who is going to check your freezer or pantry in the case of canned meat?
