94 AE 7-30 Waters
« on: April 17, 2010, 09:45:15 AM »
Just came home with a 94 AE 7-30 waters, NEW, no box but all the tags and papers, for $475.  Had a barrel from Numrich here for several years to make one, but hadn't done it yet.  Tryed, but 2 gunsmiths said they couldn't get the barrel off a 94 Ranger I picked up to make it.  It's new, but I bought it to use so unless it's worth alot more, that's what I'll do.  Anyone have an idea what it's worth, did I do good or just paid about what it's worth?  DP

The only way you could have done better is to get it for free!  I think you did fine. That is a pretty scarce rifle, just like the 307,356 and 375. Around here they want 3 t0 375 for beat up standard 94's.

Took her out and ran 30 rounds through it today, gonna have to put a scope on it to see how good she will shoot at 100 yd, these old eyes just can't do it anymore.  Front bead covered the target and then some, did a little rock bustin and that went well.  Very happy with the find, looking forward to testing with glass on her and dropping a deer with it.  Although it was new, there was a scratch on the bolt, so wasn't perfect.  Glad to have it for sure.  DP
