I want a .35 HCR. It's a 35 caliber magnum cartridge that uses a 300 338 Win Mag case that has been necked up to 35 cal. Now which is better or even doable? Since I want it for as little as possible (taking a gamble that I will use it more than once), is it better to rebore a TC Encore 300 338 Win Mag barrel or rechamber a TC Encore .35 Whelen barrel? I like the idea of rechambering because it would be much cheaper, but I don't know enough about the inner workings of the Encore barrels to say that it could be done that simply.
EDIT: It is based on a necked-up 338 WM case, not 300.
Thanks, Dinny
