What brass other than 3006 can be used to form 8x57 Mauser?

I've never bothered to form 8x57 brass from something else.  Sure, it can be done, but I just bought a few boxes of Remington and Winchester factory 8x57 ammo and shot them up.  Voila, brass.  When I decided I wanted more but didn't want to buy loaded ammo, I just bought new Remington 8x57 brass from one of the local gun shops.  It's not terribly hard to find.

That said, smokinjoe named the 3 I'd have said.

I did order two boxes of Privi Partizan for $13.50 a box. Midway wanted $13 for twenty empty brass. I do have 60 once fired Fed. cases. I have alot of .308 but I guess you can't strech them that far.

I have reformed 100's from mostly 3006 and some 280 and 270, all works well. I do have some 7x57 and will try them next.
