Double Barrel Shotguns in Alaska?
« on: July 06, 2010, 04:57:01 PM »
Hi All,

I was trying to remember a short clip film shown in the movie theaters as a matinee in the early 1970's. I was a teenager then and the local theaters used to show Saturday matinees of short hunting/fishing outdoor films. There was one in particular that I am thinking of that involved a trapper living somewhere in Alaska. He used a Sears 12 ga. double for all his hunting needs from ptarmigan to moose. He used to carry shot shells and slugs and used what he needed. I remember him changing over to slugs when he encountered a bear on his trap line, just in case. Those were the days! I can' remember the trappers' name or the name of the flick. Back in those days they had all kinds of outdoor flicks. I even remember one where they showed this dude killing an elephant in Africa with a 100 lb. recurve bow! Does any one else remember the trapper flick? I wonder where I could find it and view it again?

Mike

Sorry, can't help you.  But if you do find the film short please let me know (PM) as I'd like to see it ("OLD DAYS").  Thanks.
