Had a GREAT weekend of hunting
« on: April 13, 2010, 11:37:52 AM »
We got access to the new lease recently and this weekend was the first time we got to really get out there to enjoy it.
We couldn't have asked for better weather.
Spending the weekend with my boys hunting and fishing made me the happiest man on earth.
It just doesn't get any better as far as I am concerned.
We are on a place just south of Seguin, TX.
It's got everything we could ask for.

Friday evening some guys got a BIG pig, the scale maxed out at 300lbs and it was bottomed out hard!
They used dogs and knives to get it... that''s ballsy in the middle of the night with a big old boar as far as I am concerned...

Saturday we did some fishing at one of the tanks and my son David caught 4 small bass and was on top of the world!

Sat evening as we were easing into a blind to get setup to hunt I spotted some hogs under one of the feeders and stalked to within about 50 yards with the wind in my face.

Decided on a nice sized sow and got the green center dot on the Trijicon scope locked in the center of the neck and squeezed the trigger.
Down it went, kicked a few times and that was it.
Perfect dead center hit and severed the spine.

My first kill with the new 95g TTSX out of the Wilson Combat Recon 18
Man, this is such a sweet setup, I love it!
