Maine Moose Hunt report
« on: October 17, 2003, 04:32:48 AM »
:-D Hunt this year was difficult.  Have 5 out of 7 on the ground.  First of week was very warm.  Wednesday it rained buckets and blew a gale.  Yesterday was cold.  Caravans of hunters were riding the roads in lines of up to 5 or 6 trucks in a row.  It has slowed down some since most of the hunters have bagged their moose.  Warden service pilot reports that the moose were in the swamps bedding down because of warm weather.  That should change since it was very cold last night.  Hope you got yours.  We are waiting on two with cow permits.  Wish us luck.

Got 6 out of 7.  Last party just did not have any luck.  Wife was a smoker with a nasty cough and husband had a bad foot so he could not go into woods for moose.  We had to travel the roads.  Every time we stopped she lit up so thats that.  Not too bad but wanted that 100%.  :(

Down with Maine Citizens for Fair Bear hunting!
----It will kill Maine's hunting economy....Is this really what we need?
----Plus, all you other Northeasterners, if it goes through here.......your more then likely NEXT
