OT Kinda - New shooting bench for my Handi's
« on: February 15, 2006, 09:43:51 AM »
Just got the new shooting bench put together , i made it from the plans that Quick posted awhile back .

I'm planning to take it with me to Ok. for the PD shoot . It works great with my Handi's .

I had a friend weld up the brackets so i did not have to try to cut the little angle peices .

And also used carrage bolts instead of screws to hold the brackets and 1 in. pipe not 1 1/4 in. to save some weight .

There seems to be something "Strange" about the stock set on that Handi....

great looking shooting bench.  You'll have to let us know how it worked out for you.

Love the stock color on your handi, may I ask how you did it?

Pulled the stock and forarm off , took some 120 grit sandpaper to just scuff up the finish coat .

Then i shot it with sandable primer , then a coat of white to smoth everything out .

Then i put 2 coats of safety orange , then a clear coat .

That simple .

The silver rings were all they had in an extra tall when i got the rifle and scope .  :D

It is actually Stimpy's new secret PD weapon.

He goes to the shoot with a few of his buddies.

Stimpy stands up on the firing line and yells and waves his safety orange rifle around, and while the PDs come up to see what the comotion is all about, and while they are busy looking for their sunglasses, his buddies massacre them. Then Stimpy hands the safety orange rifle to a buddy who gives Stimpy his rifle, and they repeat it. ;D

It is also the safest rifle ever built...it does its job without firing a single shot!

WOW you had to dig back a ways for this one - 4 years ago ;D Stimpy used that same bench and stool in last year's PD shoot. Too bad we did not have another one.
