parts sources?
« on: April 20, 2010, 04:14:44 PM »
I need to find several sources for internal pistol parts (other than Dixie).
I understand that there are repair kits available which contain up to 4 pieces.
Does anyone have a contact source(s)?
 Thanks

What brand and model of pistol are you seeking parts for?
If a pair of '51 Navies were good enough for Billy Hickok, then a single one on my right hip is good enough for me.  Besides, I'm probably only half as good as he was anyway . . . . now . . . how do I load this confounded contraption?

If the parts you need are for cap & ball guns, clone SAA, Remingtons, Henry/66/73 rifles, etc by Uberti, Pietta, etc, there is VTIgunparts.com, Taylors, Cimarron...  If you need parts for single shot muzzle loaders, you'll have to surf the internet.

On line thru NUMRICH GUN PARTS (Colt parts) (FIE)
I found a new cylinder paul in the back of the BROWNELLS catalog in the "Uberti" catagory (that worked ok on my Pietta 1860 .44).
TRACK OF THE WOLF has lots of lock work parts for custom muzzle loaders.
I recall ther being a Canadian Company as well (NORTH STAR??) I remember the name having the word star in the name, last I remember they had a good source of cap and ball parts.

Rex in OTC was very close. I believe the supplier he was thinking of was MARSTAR.
They are in Canada and I have purchased Pietta parts from them in the past at a better price than other suppliers.
