Thanks guys, it works flawlessly. I missed the 100 yard gong by about four feet on the first shot. I had not planed on shooting it that day, but said what the hell and took it to the range. I only had two balls for it ( hard rubber LaCross balls ) but I had to shoot it. this is no prticular "gun" it was what I could do with what I found at the metal depot, a chunk of steel tube. I then had it machined to my specs,( that I made up in my head ) I had a plug / chamber made, pressed it in, pinned it, welded it , back plated and welded that also. The carrage is bassed on a mountain Howitzer the elevator is a brass acme screw from a large fire sprinkler valve. I still have a bunch of iron bits, handles and such to finish up.... but one thing is sure... it works, both with fuse and with musket caps.
