Reduced loads for Handi Rifle 444 Marlin

Louisiana has a primitive weapons deer season which allows Handi in 444 Marlin.  Have a 444 Handi and 8 year old grandson.  Does anyone have reduced loads for 444 Marlin.  What bullet, powder, primer, filler(?) combinations would give 44 magnum level loads he could handle.  Familar w/ reloading 30 06, 7mm mauser, 257 bob, and 264 win mag.   I have some different IMR and Hodgden powders, so using them would be a plus.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hodgdon lists H4895 for 265gr and bigger bullets in the .444, use their 60% rule for reduced loads. Trail Boss can also be used.

I would go with Trail Boss powder. http://www.imrpowder.com/ look under the Data tab where it says Trail Boss reduced loads. They don't show the .444 but they give you a simple formula to use with any rifle or pistol cartridge. Basically you can fill the case to the base of the bullet then weigh that charge for your max load. You then take that number and multiply it by 70% for your starting load.
