Rem 700 SPS or XCR?

Which of these two would be more accurate? Does the XCR have a better trigger?

I've had a rem 700 sps for several years in a 7-08. For a cheap gun it shoots sub 1 inch groups at 100 yards with a variety of ammo including win white box. you can't ask for any more than that. The trigger is a little creepy but the deer didn't seem to notice.

The XCR has the X-Mark Pro trigger on "select models", I'm guessing that means you can opt to pay more for one with the trigger.

Neither model will be more accurate than the other on average.  The XCR will cost more due to the finish.  Both rifles come with stocks from the factory that I'd personally scrap before even firing a shot.

Like diggler said, the only real difference is the finish.  You won't get any better accuracy out of either one, I think you can get both with the x-mark trigger now.  I bought a sps in 270 Win for my wife about four years ago (pre x-mark trigger) and have done nothing but adjust the trigger down a bit and shoot it.  It seems to shoot just about anything we feed it into around 1 to 1 1/2 moa, better with my hand loads.
