I have family that were peace time military back in the late 50s early 60s. If you say we have military members capable of firing on Americans, they will go off on you. Even when reminded of the Kent State shootings. In this day and time in history, sadly we not only have military but, police also that would, if so ordered. They fail to see the big picture of, once the country is brought under federal rule, then they too will become a subject. At the present they would see themselves as the warriors, but when not needed, they would be disarmed.
Much like the Apache Scouts were when the Apache Wars ended, they were lined up, disarmed, and sent to either prison, or interment camps, commonly referred to as reservations.
My entire family (Cherokee) was moved out of the Carolina's, and Georgia on a march called "The Trail of Tears", AFTER making peace with the U.S. government. They were land owners, and had been fooled into TRUSTING the government. Most have never recovered after being placed in the largest INTERMENT CAMP (reservation) in American history. What we now call Oklahoma.
The American Tea Party Movement will see more, and more determined assaults against it's very existence.
